BIG FISH is perhaps the ultimate Father’s Day musical, which is why I found it so ironic that I saw the Arts in Motion production of it the day before Mother’s Day. 

Danny Elfman, known the world over for his scores to over 115 movies, adds two major orchestral works to his recorded catalog. The dynamic American conductor JoAnn Falletta directs the forces of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic in this new studio recording, out now on Sony Classical. The Percussion Concerto was written for the Scottish virtuoso Colin Currie and was co-commissioned by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Listen to the new music now!

Disney Concerts, Marvel Studios and the Los Angeles Philharmonic are thrilled to announce the premiere of Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga Concert Experience at the iconic Hollywood Bowl on Friday, August 30, and Saturday, August 31. Artis—Naples has announced that the call for entries has begun for the 2024 Naples International Film Festival (NIFF), which is scheduled to take place October 24-27 at the newly established Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Mercato (9118 Strada Pl.).

According to a new report, actress Thandiwe Newton will be returning to the small screen in an unconfirmed role in the second season of Tim Burton's Netflix series Wednesday. She joins a cast that includes Jenna Oretega as Wednesday Addams, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, and more.

RIDE THE CYCLONE is more like an eccentric Tim Burton film than a John Hughes hug fest. However, the moments of genuine humanity and sentiment keeps the show from going off the rails.
