WHAT'S ON - Italy: PeepArrow propone un 'trittico' di musical per la stagione 2012-2013

ROMA. Il 10 luglio, Massimo Romeo PIPARO ha annunciato in conferenza stampa i titoli degli spettacoli che allestirà per la stagione teatrale 2012-13. Nonostante la crisi che affligge l’Italia, l’Europa e il mondo intero la PEEPARROW SRL lancia ben tre musical, assolutamente da non perdere: MY FAIR LADY, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES  e THE FULL MONTY. Spettacoli straordinari, ciascuno supportato da un cast stellare, che calcheranno i palcoscenici dei teatri più prestigiosi della penisola.

Si parte il 5 dicembre al Teatro Manzoni di Milano (MI) con la ripresa de LA CAGE AUX FOLLES (Musiche e Liriche di Jerry Herman, Book di Harvey Fierstein), con Marco COLUMBRO (George) e Enzo IACCHETTI (Albin/Zazà). Una commedia frizzante, divertente, spensierata e commovente, vincitrice di 6 Tony Award nel 1983 (incluso Miglior Musical). Paillettes, lustrini, boa di struzzo e tacchi a spillo: un’extravaganza in pieno stile Broadway confezionata con classe da Massimo Romeo PIPARO, che ne cura anche l’adattamento in italiano. Le orchestrazioni sono di Emanuele FRIELLO mentre le coreografie portano la firma di Bill GOODSON (noto per aver lavorato con Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Paula Abdul, Gloria Estefan e al Moulin Rouge di Parigi).

Qualche giorno dopo, l’11 dicembre, al Sistina di Roma (RM) debutterà MY FAIR LADY (Musiche di Frederick Loewe, Liriche e Book di Alan Jay Lerner), in coproduzione con il Teatro Sistina di Gianmario LONGONI. Una favola musicale, un classico immortale che nonostante la sua “età” è sempre troppo giovane per invecchiare. Il revival italiano (il terzo, per la precisione) vedrà come protagonisti Vittoria BELVEDERE (Eliza Doolittle) e Luca WARD (Prof. Higgins) affiancati da Aldo Ralli, nel ruolo di Afred Doolittle, e da Enrico Baroni che invece interpreterà il Colonnello Pickering.

Ancora al Sistina di Roma (RM), il 29 gennaio, esordirà THE FULL MONTY (Musiche e Liriche di David Yazbek e Book di Terrence McNally): l’esilarante storia di alcuni disoccupati che si improvvisano spogliarellisti per sbarcare il lunario, stavolta ambientata a Torino. Nel cast spiccano nomi di tutto rispetto: Paolo CALABRESI, Gianni FANTONI, Sergio MUNIZ, Paolo RUFFINI, Jacopo SARNO e Pietro SERMONTI, veterani dello spettacolo italiano che si cimenteranno nell’indimenticabile spogliarello finale.

ROME. On July 10, Massimo Romeo PIPARO announced in press conference the shows he will stage and direct  for the 2012-13 theatre season. Despite the crisis that afflicts Italy, Europe and the whole world, PEEPARROW SRL launches no less than three musicals, not to be missed: MY FAIR LADY, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES  and THE FULL MONTY. Extraordinary shows, each one supported by a stellar cast, that will tread the boards of the most prestigious theatre of our peninsula.

We start on December 5 at Teatro Manzoni in Milan with the revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES (Music and Lyrics by Jerry Herman, Book by Harvey Fierstein), starring Marco COLUMBRO (George) and Enzo IACCHETTI (Albin/Zazà). A dazzling, funny, perky and touching comedy, which won 6 Tony Awards in 1983 (Best Musical included). Paillettes, spangles, feather boas and high heels: a perfect “Broadway style” extravaganza directed with class and mastery by Massimo Romeo PIPARO, who has edited the translation and the adaptation in Italian language, too. Orchestrations are by Emanuele FRIELLO while Bill GOODSON (known for his collaboration with Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Paula Abdul, Gloria Estefan as well as for his work at the Moulin Rouge in Paris) has signed the choreography.

Antonino (Nino) Prattico' was born on January 13, 1993 in Milan. He grew up in Reggio Calabria where he lived with his parents and his little brother until 2011. After graduation, he moved to Rome in order to undertake a bilingual degree course in Law at LUMSA University but he always dreamed to be a journalist. Since he was a child, Nino has showed a strong passion for entertainment: music, dance, drama… but his effective encounter with musical theatre (and theatre in general) occurred in 2007, when he got in contact with a local amateur theatrical company, specialized in the production of musicals. His curiosity drove him to be interested in various facets of this sector: its history, today's situation, repertoire and behind the scenes. At the present time, for fun, he dedicates himself to the adaptation and translation of American musicals in Italian language. Among his favorite shows: Gypsy, How To Succeed in Business (Without Really Trying), La Cage Aux Folles, Hello Dolly! and Mame.
